Exceptional Talent vs Exceptional Promise

The Global Talent Visa has two tiers — Exceptional Talent (for established leaders) and Exceptional Promise (for emerging talent). The evidence required differs significantly between the two tiers.

• Exceptional Talent: Demonstrated track record of excellence — major awards, publications, significant contributions to your field
• Exceptional Promise: Emerging talent with strong indicators of future leadership — early career achievements, recognition from peers, innovative work
• Both tiers lead to the same visa and the same pathway to settlement
• Settlement eligibility: 3 years for Exceptional Talent, 5 years for Exceptional Promise
